EPIC - Enhancing Prevention in Communities Summit 2018

OUR VISION: To achieve a rate of ZERO new HIV infections in Broward County!

MISSION: Broward County is ranked second in the nation for new HIV infections, and when coupled with Miami Dade and Palm Beach Counties, the Metropolitan Statistical Area ranks number one for new HIV infections.  The EPIC (Enhancing Prevention in Communities) Biomedical Conference brings together diverse leaders, providers, and constituents to educate, give support, and encourage them to bring these proven medical advances to their communities and those they serve. The EPIC Biomedical Conference is a collaboration between the members of the PrEP Advisory Work group of Broward County HIV Prevention Planning Council.

 OBJECTIVES:

• Increase Education regarding Biomedical Interventions for the prevention of HIV
• Increase Collaboration and Cohesion amongst stakeholders
• Increase usage of Biomedical Prevention Strategies
• Decrease Stigma regarding Biomedical Prevention and HIV.
