Hurricane season is around the corner! Future storm chasers will learn all about this natural phenomenon and how to be prepared for anything nature throws our way! Guests can test building skills in our wind tunnel construction zone, explore weather-related engineering challenges in our makerspace lab and create a make-and-take barometer.
MODS is teaming up with FIU International Hurricane Research Center and the Florida Division of Emergency Management for one of our most popular annual events!
Exhibits, Shows and Demos: Attend the “What’s Up with Weather?” demonstration to explore the great water cycle and its significance in Earth’s weather patterns and then make-and-take structures to weather the storm at the Windy Towers station.
